See, there are those moments in life that are non-negotiable and for makeup lovers, they tend to surface when your favourite beauty brand says shipping that must-have lipstick will take 15-30 days, or worse still, they don’t deliver to your country—how rude!
And, as much as we appreciate homegrown British brands like Charlotte Tilbury, Rimmel, Butter London, and Burberry Beauty, we need to feel the love, America. Bring us your Color Pop, Milani, and NARS, too; open the gates to the makeup heaven we see on the horizon—just like these brands have in 2017.
Now Up For Grabs In The UK:
1) Anastasia Beverly Hills
The long wait is coming to an end with the launch of Anastasia Beverly Hills in Britain. This world famous authority on perfect brows is the brainchild of beauty pioneer Anastasia Soare who launched the brand in 1997. The inventors of the ‘Golden Ratio’ for brow shaping have also delivered big hits with their glow kits and matte liquid lipsticks.
Available at: AnastasiaBeverlyHills.co.uk
2) Huda Beauty
The beauty vlogger turned businesswoman Huda Kattan is the queen behind the Huda Beauty empire. Being one of the top influencers on Instagram, Huda Kattan managed to leverage her social media fandom as the quintessential makeup genius and created a brand with one of the biggest global cult following. Her powerhouse cosmetics line consists of false eyelash strips, lip contour pencils, and vibrant liquid matte lipsticks. Her products are worn by some of the top celebrities, including the Kardashians, Beyonce, and Chrissy Teigen among others. Our personal favourite is Huda Beauty’s liquid matte lipsticks; these highly pigmented beauts are long-lasting and don’t leave your lips dry and chipped; some are better than Kylie Lip Kits—no, really!
Available at: Harrods
3) Kat Von D
There’s the cat eye, and then, there’s the Kat Von D eye. Ask any beauty lover and she’ll let you know that this tattoo artist’s makeup line has easily become a cult favourite in recent times. After eight years in waiting, Kat is finally launching her brand of makeup in the UK exclusively through Debenhams, and yes, we’re going to take a moment to scream with joy. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Of the lot, it’s the Everlasting Liquid Lipstick (£16), Tattoo Liner (£16), and Lock-It Liquid Foundation (£27) that are the most popular.
Available at: Debenhams.co.uk, and the Debenhams Oxford Street store.
